Horrible customer service, attempted emails ignored, until opened a issue with the BBB then all of the sudden they never received word from me that there was an issue.
8 shipping centers to better serve you, HA, if any of the shipping centers actually had games in them they might be able to get you a game in under 8 days as it was they don't and couldn't.
And if a game gets lost in the mail, you might as well kiss your 50.00 good-bye, I know you could get the same game for 10.00 at any used game store, but they need to recoup their losses, for the games that they 'guarantee'.
Basically I didn't have a good or even passable experience with them. If gamefly could get games to me in under 7 days I would have stayed with them and never been through horror of gottaplay.com By Mike McQueen from Baltimore, MD

Games are never available for PS3 or XBOX 360. I live within 30 miles of Gottaplays headquarters and I can't return a game and recieve a new one in less than 10 days. The only thing descent about the company is the selection that is never available. Customer service phone number almost always goes to a voice mailbox. Overall Gottaplay is not worth the money. I signed up for a free trail then they bill me 5 times more then the service ..They have my credit card number and im worried. I read everything carefully They insured me i wouldn't be charged a thing. They are already going to town charging me tons... The service is only 20 dollars why would I be billed 90 dollars nearly that insane.. I called customer service and they hung up on me 3 times.. They were very rude and didn't care this is a whole fraud scam to get you're money..
Each time i called customer service I got the same person on the phone.. I asked for a refund and they refused they weren't even trying to be understanding they were cold hearted By gary from la

i signed up for the free trial and all of the games i put on my list were not available. that was about 15 games that said i had a wait. so i waited and a game was not sent out for 2 days so i canceled the account cause i knew i wouldnt be able to actually try the service for ten days if they cant even send one game in 2. anyway like i said, signed up for the free trial and it said they would bill me one dollar and it would show up as $20.95 but i would see it change to a dollar in 1-5 days and now it has been 8 days and i have not got my money back, i sent them 2 emails with no reply. i used the service for two days i should get my money back like it says at the free trial. im contacting the better business bureau today. do not use this company. I have been a member of gotta play for about 6 months.
I have not received a game in about a month. All of my games have been returned, I have at least 10 games chosen in my queue. I have e-mailed customer service and was told my game would ship right away. Days go by and....nothing. After 4 e-mails and 2 phone calls, I was assured that my game would ship and that I would actually get a credit for the last month of membership. That was a week ago. I still haven't received my credit and I still have no game. To top it off, they have just billed my account for the next month. I haven't been able to get on the Website for the last week because it says they are doing some "improvements" to the Website. I e-mailed customer service to cancel my account but was told I could only do this on-line....but I can't get ON LINE!
I don't know what's happening with them but I have run out of patience. By Lisa from Oak Hills, CA

I have lost count of how many USPS affidavits I had to complete so as not to be charged for games I mailed and GottaPlay never received. And as far as receiving games it would take weeks to get them even if they were sent from a shipping center less than 120 miles away. I would probably get quicker service from an overseas video game rental outfit.
In fact, I spent more time trying to administer and keep track of lost games than actually playing any. Customer service was not bad in helping me resolve issues, and to ultimately close my account, but still had to call back because I was still charged for the last reported lost game even though I completed all the USPS requirements.
A great disappointment, and one of the most frustrating experiences with an online vendor service I have ever had, or hope to. By Charlie from Boston, MA

Shipping times are generally slow and unpredictable. For example, a few weeks ago I returned two games at the same time. One was received within the typical ten days and the other took nearly a month. Twice my credit card was declined because they could not verify my address even though I just had to type the same address.
Also, on occasion Gottaplay's database will screw up and send you the same game twice or mark that you have two games out (after saying they have sent the same game) when you really only have one. The website design as is incompetent.
What's more, I no longer receive any e-mail notifications about these problems which forces me to check my account everyday to make sure nothing is going wrong. On top of that, the only time I have ever gotten any semblance of technical support was when I threated to cancel my account after about ten other attempts (and even that guy didn't do anything).
If you are in college, I would highly advise you to not consider using Gottaplay for one simple reason: The place where you enter your shipping address has a sort of auto-formating feature that puts your address into "US Postal Standard Format" (most likely to save shipping costs). What does this mean? If you have a non standard address like PO Box with an apartment number or a building name and an apartment number, you will not be able to properly format the address on the envelope to receive your games. This was the final straw for me and as soon as I resolve all my other issues, I am canceling my account. By Fredricko from Wisconsin

On a good day a gottaplay game comes in 3 days + the time it takes them to get your old game is 6 days. Add a Sunday in there and you have a week, 1/4th of the month your paying for. Once it took 12 days for a game to get to me, and it had taken 6 days to get the last game. Something had gone largely wrong. Luckily, I had reported it missing on the 10th day, and they both came at once. Don't expect it to be equivalent to netflix in mail times. It's pretty much the bottom of the barrel o this one. Everything else is just normal, and for the price, just figure it to be 2 free games a month. By Mitch from Sanat Clara, CA

I have received one game in almost 30 days. The 2nd one I requested never arrived and after 2 weeks to get it reported on their system I finally called them. They didn't have the lost report. Then I was told to call USPS and get a confirmation number and email it them. This took me at least 10 minutes to get. Then I received an email from GottaPlay with an attachment of 5 pages that has to be filled out and sent to the post office claiming the game is stolen. All of this or they charge me $50 for a game I never received and their system won't accomodate a lost game. Assuming they ever sent it.
Also, I never received the 1st game in time to cancel in the 10 day period for $1 special they were running. I am still in the battle and not sure how much this will actually cost by the time I am done. By l from englewood, co

Had the worst experience ever with this company. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! It took me 14 days to get a game. Way over the trial free date and would not honor a refund since it was their fault on shipping. Their answer to my refund--its our policy and you should have read carefully! BEWARE!
