I repeat the feelings of many - I wish I had read these complaints first. I had read a reputable review and it gave GP a thumbs up so I bought into it. Never again.

I have the same probs others have had. They charged me for a game I had returned weeks before (they sent it cracked right down the middle), sent me another that we sent back right away and they still don't have it marked as received. I also have contacted customer service by email and voicemail numerous times and NO response.

I am going to have to cancel and change my card so they donlt charge me again (I cancelled membership already but I am not taking any chances).

AVOID GP at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not use this company. They have very few titles to choose from and only a few copies of each title. Picks are NEVER available right away. Also, was sent a cracked game that someone tried to seal. Contacted them 3 times by email and 3 times by phone. NEVER A RESPONSE. Gamefly is the best to use.

I read these reviews prior to signing up for Gottaplay, thinking they must have been put up by Gamefly or another rival company. Boy, was I wrong. As a new customer, my game has not arrived yet, and it was shipped a week ago. Even worse, the website wont let me report it as lost. I cant cancel my service because the shipped game will slap me with a 50$ fee. I tried contacting customer service three times. I still havent got a reply and it has been 5 days. So basically, I just signed up for a company to take my 50$. Thanks a f*cking lot Gottaplay, I'll see you at Gamefly.

gottaplay is the worst. rented 1 disk from them. returned it - they said i had returned one of my own and to call them. the toll free # in the email rings and then disconnects. the # on their website goes to voicemail. i left 10 voicemails, 10 emails and 10 online form submissions. no response. then they tried to charge my credit card $50! crooks!

I signed up on a Thursday afternoon and immediately picked out 2 games. They don't have 50% of the xbox 360 games and only about 1/10 of the new ones. Anything newer then 2007 is unavailable and has a long to very long wait, which translates to from a month to never. The site claims to have buyback availability, except I havn't found it on a single game I looked at on their website yet as a member. I canceled my membership today and discovered that the 2 weeks left remaining on my paid month are gone, the games out must be returned within 7 days or my credit card will automatically be charged. Oh no I can't play Dead Space or Gears of War 1 anymore... ya that's the best they had available...

Entire genres of games are all "Long Wait" or Unavailable. They have almost nothing available to send. When you do finally get a game in, beware when you try to return it. More often than not, they will claim they never received it and charge you $50. Shaddy company with an "F" rating with the BBB.

First off, i never received even one game that i actually wanted to rent. I put 15 games that I actually wanted in my queue. I waited for almost 3 weeks and none were available. I was ticked off that I was about to pay for a full month for just waiting in the queue so i had no choice but to pick some games that i kinda wanted to play because they were available. Two days after receiving this games i returned them because they sucked. GottaPlay claimed to never receive them. I reported the games on their website and they sent me 2 other games that were in queue. For 4 months I paid my subscription and I waited for games that i actually wanted to play and still didnt get even one. I then had no choice but to cancel my subscription. After canceling GottaPlay sent me a bill for the lost games. The bill was for almost $200.00, and the games i rented were only 19.95 brand new. I continuously attempted to contact Gottaplay but the 1-800 number listed on their site just rang and rang and never answered. I wanted to email customer service directly and that was difficult, they hide there customer service email on their website. When i finally emailed them and explained the situation they only sent me a form letter telling me I was responsible for the lost games. I have no control over post office theft, the games i was being charged for were too shitty to even steal. I had to contact BBB because they would not respond and address the issue. Long story short, they refused to contact me and i am still in collections fighting this bull crap. Gottaplay was ridiculous and their policys are unreasonable.

You are forced to pay upfront only to find that 98% of the games for all the systems are not available. Long Wait or Short Wait. Then when a game is available it never ships. They also don't respond to emails. Well they responded to the first one saying that they will respond personally to the email that I originally sent. Thanks for NOTHING LITERALLY! KEEP THE 8.95 THIEVES

I just started this service. I had 37 games in my cue. they sent me the 2 at the very bottom. I returned the games the very next day (because they sucked). They claim they never received one back, even though they are mailed together. They are giving me the same BS about contact the USPS. If they wish to scam me. They have picked the wrong person as I am now planning to change my service to the max number of games they allow. Waiting to get them and reporting my card stolen. I just wish every person falling for this scam would do the same. These people need to be put down like a limp horse.

Like an idiot, I gave my credit card information to these clowns, I canceled my service within the first or second month. Took forever to get my first game (Online rentals give the fastest service to new customers so after the honeymoon it only gets slower) but hey, my fault for not looking up reviews of this company beforehand. That's it right? Move on? WRONG, they ganked my credit card for 50 dollars stating that I didn't return my game on time. I expected some mechanism like this which is why I returned the game the same day I canceled. Yet they calim they haven't gotten it. I sent an explanation to the customer service people but after reading these other reviews it seems unlikely that this will get resolved or that I will even ever get a reply.

They wouldn't let me see the rentals until I had signed up and when I signed up, they said it was a long wait. They said their rentals would ship in 2-3 days. They misled me and I'm going to cancel.

Their Customer service and direct HQ numbers are now disconnected, they never respond to email, and are essentially non-existant, but they are managing to still charge credit cards. They are actually committing fraud, legally and technically. Everyone needs to report them for such and file a claim. I am doing so with my local DOJ.

After reading all the comments here I felt I need to write down my story as well. Of course, It first started with the TrialAccount of 10 days in which (I play on PS3) none of the new (and highly demanded) games arrived. So I switched to older Games and waited for about 2 weeks before I finally received the first game. I only played it a little bit and kind of "forgot" that I have an Account with those freaks.. They charged me 12.95 every month for having I "dead" game out at me, but thats my problem, Nothing wrong with that!! But then after I TRIED to send it back it took 2 weeks in which it stilled showed "Games out: 1" where I started to get concerned about why they havent sent out anything. Iam used to Netflix's speed which can't be compared with that team from gottaplay. I finally reported the game LOST during mailing, because that's what happened and received a mail where I were supposed to contact USPS and explain it to them, get a case#, and get back to them. First of all the guy at the post-office didn't know what to do and to say, and finally gave me a case# to end this nonsense.. After I provided gottaplay with a proper email with all the numbers requested,.... NOTHING happened. :) 4 weeks and one month Membership fees later I got another Game! Jihaa, since I have a (1-Game at the time Account) I figured they accepted there first loss since they sent out another game.. Several month passed and I barely played on my PS3 no more,. After I realized that I spent alomst $130 for a service I didnt used that much I thought its best for me to cancel... HAHA!! I was asked to sent the remaining game back within 10 days to avoid a fee of $50, so the game went out this very day,. END?? No! 3 weeks passed by when I got a email from gottaplay (Your cancelled Account has unreturned games). I got this mail twice! So I checked my BankAccount I had to see that they charged me a total of $100 for the 2 unreturned games..! So My first "USPS get a freaking case Number thing" didnt count at all. And the one I sent back after cancellation got lost during mailing as well? Come on. Thats BS. Thats not just unconvenient deluxe but Fraud, Big Time!! I'll call my bank to get the money back and contact BBB. And btw, I tried to call them, after they didnt answered to my 5 mails in the last 2 weeks,. But their Toll Free Number isnt working! So no chance to get ahold with them. I wouldnt be suprised if they shot collection people at me,.. Well, That was my little experience I has with Gottaplay. Try something else then that, Do it for the sake of your money and save your bucks and the trouble.! Oliver

This company is a scam. They ripped me off. There selection seems good but then they send back the same game you just returned whenever they feel like it, even if it says other games are available. They will add games to your queue without your knowledge. When you try to cancel they will rip you off for 50 bucks claiming that the game you returned never made it back. If you try and clear your queue so they won't send anything to bypass this they will send the same game you return. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

I wanted to try another game rental Service since Gamefly was taking too long to ship me games at the time (07/08). Gottaplay had the closest distribution offices to PA so I gave them a shot. After I signed up for the service, the site stated any decent or recent games where low availability. Even the games that were available took 3-5days to get from Maryland to PA. Sure they accept your returns quick, but then it takes them days to ship another one out.

After a couple months of so-so service, they suddenly do not report any of the games I sent back as received. Their customer service number is a joke. Calling them at any day/hour they state its open just goes to an automated message to e-mail customer service. I sent them DOZENS of e-mails, and not a single reply other then automated responses. I canceled my card they had on file because they were charging me for a couple months for no games and absolutely no customer service!

Now they are sending me e-mails (automated of course) stating that any games -they- lost will cost me $50 each... for old xbox1 and PS2 games that are the only games that are not low availability. Gottaplay is a joke. I'm getting the BBB and the consumerist.com involved since they are threatening to take it to a collection agency.

Like many of you I also was a customer and after renting a game it took up to 3 weeks to get it and some times longer for them to recieve it back. Then a game was lost in the mail and they claimed they didn't get it. They were going to charge me $50.00 for the game. After waiting for a month the game showed up. They sent it to anouther distribution center and didn't log it in. In the mean time they sent me more games (I was on the 2 game plan) and I decided to cancel. I was told they would have to get the games back before I canceled or I would be charged the $50.00 per game. I have been waiting now for 7 months and still they don't have the games. I have sent repeated messages about the lost games and have heard nothing from them. Calls to their phone # won't go through and now I have received an automated message that I have been sent to collections because I canceled the credit card they were billing to. I am putting together some information on this company and am thinking about a class action lawsuit against them.
