It takes a 7 day for me to get a game back after I ship it out. Never have they shipped from the top of my Q. I always get the last game on my list regardless of what is available. By ANGRIE PYRATE from CHARLESTON SC

As much as you are eager to get an awesome game that you have been wanting for a long time... your gonna have to wait a good three weeks to get it. Gamefly never has good available games out on stock they have limited supply so there will be a waiting period till someone else returns one. When they ship it at times it seems that it will never get to you for it may take up to a week till you get that supposed shipped game. And when you ship that game you might as well have proof your returning it because gamefly at times may not get for some weird reason... weird how this never happens with netflix or blockbuster online By Jonny from Los Angeles, CA

Game Fly used to be as good as netflix at availability and turnaround time. Last month though I had 0 games for 3 weeks with more than 5 titles stating low or medium wait in my queue. Moved on a looking for another service too bad netflix or blockbuster don't do online rental subscriptions for games. By guer0diabl0 from Denver CO

Gamefly has a great selection of games to choose from. I would much rather get a game from them, play it all I want for as long as I want, and when I'm satisfied, return it at my leisure. The only games I ever buy anymore are ones with a guaranteed endless replay value of some sort.
With Gamefly, it seems next to possible to get a newer game that was released in the last 2-3 months. Today they shipped me a game that was 7th in my queue, when there were items listed with a "medium" availability above it. If a game shows as "low" I can understand they're almost out. But medium implies to me that they have some in there, wouldn't you think?
It's just frustrating. Gamefly is the better of the services available out there based on the reviews of other sites. But if I want a game thats somewhat new, I wonder if it would just be easier to go down to the corner store and rent games like the good ol' days. By Society from California

I signed up a few months ago and am totally hooked on gamefly. I rent games for my Wii and Xbox360.
Overall: It's the best way to get games. No hidden fees, great prices, and tons of features.
Selection: over 5,000 game library. Nobody has a selection as big. Makes blockbusters game selection look like a garage sale.
Value: I did the math, if I buy just 3 games at retail it pays for a whole year of renting from gamefly. Not to mention being able to try a game for yourself and then decide if you want to buy it or just rent it. Plus you can sell old games back to gamefly for credit. I paid for 2 months that way. Overall, It has saved me a lot over buying games that I would end up not playing a whole lot.
Features: So many features, my favorite is "Keep It" which allows you to keep the game your renting and they send the box and manual. Best part is the price, keep it price is always much much less than retail, and i'v e gotten several A+ titles at cheap this way. Other features include, trade-in your games, member rewards, mp3 downloads, parent controls. It really is much more than just rentals.
Shipping Speed: Take me 2-3 days to get games. They've opened 3 shipping centers in the past year. They also use the post offices fast return, that scan the envelope and notifies gamefly to send out the next game. By Ken from Santa Cruz, CA

I have 2 boys and 1 girl, who all love to play games, 360, wii and DS. I was spending so much money on games. Often I would buy a game and they would finish it in a day or two or the game would just suck and they would not like it. Then I would have to try and sell it on.
Gamefly has solved all that. I increased my subscription from 1 game to 2 games a month (approx. $24 a month. The games arrive withing 3 days, I would say, 90% of the time. Never had an issue with a broken or non working game. I do not think that the service is cheap, but I feel I am getting good value for money, if the monthly cost was to increase, it would probably make me reconsider.
So really I have no hesitation in recommending gamefly. It is an excellent service. In fact I am very surprised by some of the negative reviews, because my experience has been nothing like that. By Richard from MS

GAME FLY YEAH!!
My kid is a gamer what can I say.. he can beat some games in as fast as 2 hours. I was spending about 150.00 a month on games for 3 systems,
I have been on Gamefly for 34 days and we are already into our 6th game... this would be close to 200.00 if I had bought these 6 games and if he decides any game is special enough that he wanted to keep one permanently we can purchase it.
(out of the over 150 games I have purchased in the last 5 years I would say only 10 are ones special enough to be keepers)
This service is excellent and I cant say enough about how fast the turn around has been and the convenience of the self paid envelope. So much better than trying to resell your games to gamestop and getting a dime on the dollar for trade in "ridiculous"...
I am thrilled to pieces and hope they never stop what they are doing or lose any quality to their so far excellent service.
This is one FLY you DONT want to squash!!

I'm quite ashamed of myself for falling for this service. I figured it would be worth the monthly fee to rent their DS games, seeing as I always complete them within a couple weeks and then never play them again. I had this service for four months, and over those four months received a total of 4 DS games from Gamefly-even with my queue full. For the amount of money that I shelled out I could have bought the games used, played them and then turned around and resold them and made a profit. It seems Gamefly is never in a hurry to process the returned games. For example, I mailed my second to last game back on May 19. On June 2nd they sent me an email saying they had received the game. I find it HIGHLY unlikley that it took the post office 13 business days to get that game from Washington DC to Gamefly's nearest outlet, which is in Pittsburgh four hours away. What I find more likely to have happened is that they received the game by the end of the week and then waited another week to process it as being returned--which makes sense, because if you keep a game for two weeks, and it takes another two weeks for them to process it and send you yet another one, that averages out to one game a month. I guess that's decent if you're renting a Wii game and manage to finish it in two weeks. I find it a real shame that this company is literally scamming people out of their money, and it couldn't be more obvious. When I decided I'd had enough I emptied my queue so they couldn't send me another game, sent my last game back the day after it finally came in the mail and the second they processed it as returned I cancelled my service before they could con me out of anymore of my money. But as for the money I did flush down Gamefly's toilet...well...live and learn I guess... By firebell123 from Washington, DC

I haven't been a subscriber to gamefly for that long (6 months now) I but have to say that I'm pretty thrilled so far with the service, selection, price, just about everything compared to what I've experienced both buying games and renting from other places.
I signed up after they started opening additional distribution centers in PA, FL and now TX. Games arrive pretty fast for me. I know some people say it takes time but maybe they are talking about before they expanded.
I have two consoles and a two game plan and can usually play 4-5 games a month if I stay on top of my queue and get the games I want. Bioshock, GTA4, and MGS4 all shipped around day of release, which I thought was pretty sweet.
I have gotten some games further down the queue, but I solved that problem by just emptying my queue of all the games, except the one I want, if that game is on low availability. Really, I found with Gamefly, as opposed to other companies, they give you all the tools to get all the games you want and if you use them, it's a great experience.
Plus where else can you play 40+ games a year for $22 / month. That's like around $250. By Tim from White Plains, NY

While they offer a wide selection of games they rarely have new titles in stock. Many times I have games in my Queue that are 2-3 months old and I still don't get them. I constantly get games that are in the 10th or 15th spot on my Queue when the ones in the 5-9 spots aren't even new. Also, it takes upwards of 4-7 business days to get a game. Meanwhile Netflix has a 2-3 day turn around time. While the value of their service is good and the selection is broad the long wait times and inavaliablity of newer titles might turn people off. I have been a member since Nov 2007. the first few months, Gamefly was great. Then, just these last 2 months, it seems their service took a nose dive. In the last 60 days, 3 games never arrived to my home. They ship the games in huge orange envelopes that announce that there is a game inside. That is just asking for trouble. Luckily, Gamefly hasn't charged me for the 'lost' games... yet. The last game I shipped back to them was received on 6/5/08. It is now 6/10, and no new games have been sent to me. I sent them a customer service email on 6/8 asking why no new games have been sent, and got a nice auto-reply email stating I needed to put more 'released' games in my Q, to make sure I have something that is available to ship right away. I have my Q maxed out at 50 games, and over 15 of them are showing as available. Yesterday I tried Gamefly's online instant messaging support, and got the EXACT SAME canned email response (and a $5 gift certificate to boot), but my question was not answered before the session was marked as 'resolved'. If they do not ship out any new games today, 5 days after they received my last return, I am going to cancel and move elsewhere. It seems the stock of games they keep in the warehouse does not meet the demand of the customers, if there is a new release game you really want, you may have a wait MONTHS before you will get a chance to get it. And the customer support they offer is pretty lacking. Why can't there be an online game rental company as great as Netflix? By Jim A. from Philadelphia, PA
