I signed up for Gamefly on 2/6/09. It's now 2/21/09 and I haven't received any games; only bulls*** excuses about shipping. I live in Virginia and there distribution center is in Pennsylvania. For those that don't know that's only one state over. Dude i receive bills from California within 2 business days and Gamefly can't send me a game deom one state over! So basically I wasted $22.95 that I could have put toward a new game. Thanks Gamefly thanks alot. Buyers beware this a crappy service and I would encourgae everyone not to get it!

OK; I used Gamefly when it first came out back when I had a PS2. It was great; huge selection and they always had games available....That was then; this is now.

I now have a XBOX 360. Out of 436 games they carry; only 16 are available!?!?!?!?!? All are games you never heard of. I have 10 games in my queue and only 1 is available. I doubt I will renew my membership

I purchased a Gamefly membership as a Christmas gift for my son. As of today (1/22/09) he has not received anything but numerous email excuses. We have lost the $22.95 for the first month of membership; when I continued with the cancellation, I received a disclaimer that stated I would not receive a refund.

This is one hell of a scam. I basically paid to see my kid's excitement as he placed over 50 titles in his queque on Christmas morning. This afternoon we went to Circuit City and bought him Guitar Hero III and an 8G I-Pod for less than a year's membership with Gamefly.

We have had a Netflix membership for over a year and have been extremely satisfied. Since Gamefly is advertized within Netflix ads we thought it was a safe bet. I have already notified Netflix. By the way, before you look at other Internet game memberships make sure to ask them if they are affiliated with Gamefly. They apparently are selling their lousey service under other names.

I have been using gamefly for a couple years now and every things been perfect so far. But lately i've noticed that all the games are on high availability. Yes high availability means that there is supposedly has 75% of getting the game and if you put it as your #1 game it will be top priority. When ever i seem to have a game in high on my #1 it never comes and skips down to all my games that are on available now. But recently ALL games have been on high availability and even they don't come. Im on a 3 game plan and most of my games are on high and gamefly has yet to send me a new game. Im hoping one day they can correct the availability system and maybe even get more copies of new games so they don't run out and stay on very low availability the very day the game comes out.

It's taking a minimum of 48 hours to ship a new game after they have received my returned game. With the slow turnaround and the time it takes to get to and from the distribution center, it takes over a week to get a new game.

I’ve noticed on reviews that this problem has just been heightened in the last couple months (after it had gotten better with new distribution centers). I also noticed a month ago they had a huge selection of games for sale (80 plus for my console, Wii). I looked this week and there is one or two now available for sale (how would it go from 80 to 1 in two weeks time?). This looks like they were selling off their inventory to get some extra cash. Now that a new year has begun (and I assume a bunch of people complained), they stopped selling it off. Either that or they sold off most of their inventory and don’t have much left. This is further evidenced by the fact it took them over two days to ship a “high availability” game once they received my last one. I find this rating of availability to be a smoke screen for lack of inventory and an emphasis on selling assets for cash.

They have a great selection, But beware you will never get the game you want. You spend more time waiting for the games then you do playing them. The shipping time is horrible 7-10 days is waaaaaaaay to long to wait. You cant contact them by phone because they don't list the # on the site. It really seems like a good deal until you find your self having no games to play for 2 weeks out of the month.

I am in the process of exploring a class-action lawsuit against GameFly. E-mail address to get involved is below.

They knowingly maintain stock levels that are far below adequate and use a black-box system to determine how games are shipped out. They intentionally do not reveal this system in its entirety anywhere on their website, because there is no cohesive, fair system in place. They simply do what is in their best business interest -charge a lot of customers for the service but buy very few games- and then setup smoke screens to explain away the unavailability of games.

This is an extremely poor service that has only gotten worse over the last year. Their low inventory levels are only half the problem, the real issue, in my mind, is that they go to such elaborate lengths to deceive their customers about why the games are not available. They attempt to paint a picture in which there are many games, but other gamers are playing them at the moment. In reality they have a below adequate level of inventory and they are telling every customer that some other gamer is playing the game they want right now. I have some extensive evidence for this and, if you've had a similar experience, send an e-mail to "bakuganwholesale" with the domain name "gmail" . "com"
