I live in greenville, sc. All of my games have come from the tampa location. Turn around for me from the time I place in my mailbox until I receive the next is 4-6 days. When I first started, I could place 1 in the box on Tuesday and have in time for the weekend. Lately, I place in the box Monday and get a new one on Saturday. By jason from Greenville, Sc

Game Fly works great. I like to play lots of games (I have an Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP), and can't afford to buy new games all the time. With GameFly, I can test all the games out and keep them for as long as I want to play them without worrying about late fees or due dates.
I hate when you buy a video game and it ends up sucking. It is a waste of money and you can't sell a crappy game back for much money.
That is why I like Gamefly so much. If you try out a game and it isn't very good, you just send it back for another one right away. By Crazy Ivan from Chicago, IL

While I am sure that Gamefly does try to please, in all aspects of customer service they fall short. There response time of 2-4 days is a joke and both of the replies that I got took 5 days, and while not far outside there window during this entire time I had no games delivered to me. I had 3 games that were in my que and medium availability and none of them were delivered. Upon trying to cancel my subscription after being deeply dissatisfied they charged me the full subscription cost and I still never got to rent a game from them. I bought a gamefly membership back in October for my husband's birthday. The fist game we received quickly & it was the first game in the cue. Since we returned that game, our experience changed completely.
The ranking system in the que is a joke, my husband never receives anything in the top 5, even if they inidicate "available now" or "high availability."
We recently sent back a game, waited about 4 days for it to show up in our ques as returned, then waited about another 4 days for the next title to indicate in the que as shipped. Then we waited another 7 days after a game was indicated in our que as "shipped" and reported it lost. We lost over 2 weeks just in waiting. I sent a detailed email to customer service demanding a credit for all the time we were losing in transit, and was told that credits are never issued. Amazingly, I had a replacement game 2 days later. If the shipping was like that every time, we wouldn't be angry!
If anyone knows of a better online game service, please let us know!! I'd be happy to give our money to one of gamefly's competitors and drop them like the bad habit they are. By Fed Up with Gamefly from Buffalo, NY

Don't subscribe thinking you're going to get a game that has been or is popular. You won't. Don't subscribe thinking you're going to be able to rent more than 2 games a month either, because by the time they receive and ship out another game more than a week has passed. By Hi from Stockton, CA

After this month is over I'm am also going to cancel Gamefly. I begam my membership in October 2008 and for the most part I was getting 5 games in a month with the 2 game at a time plan. Within the past two months is when it started getting bad. Last month I only received 2 games.
I know the turn around time between where I live an Pittsburgh is two days average with three days max. On one game after waiting patiently a week I sent them an email and reported the problem online. I didn't get a response. It was only after my 2nd email threatening to do a chargeback against my CC that they sent me the next game in the queue. The last game I just sent them should have arrived by today at the latest (sent on Friday) and still nothing. Gamefly is throttling the games to not send out as many to save on shipping costs. Like most Gamefly subscribers (victims more like it.) At first i was very pleased with the selection and service, not to mention that they wanted to reward me for staying a member with coupons and even Gamefly money!!
Turns out all these "Perks" are really just scams to get you to keep paying $23 a month for bad service. With turnaround time on games at over a week, the least they could do would insure that i could actually get the games that i wanted, instead of game #15 on my que. I understand that some titles may not be available due to high demand, but after a month or more? Although the 'Keep it' feature was pretty nice, it wasn't enough to get me to stay. After 4 months of membership i had enough, and while canceling my membership (which turned into a 5 minute ordeal) was bombarded with excuses and more lame attempts to get me not to cancel.

I Started using gamefly June 1st of 2009. I applied for there 2games out at a time deal. And Since June I've only received 4games. That is a 5month period people. With the total frustration with Gamefly I Did what everyone on here should do. Find two or one games that you like,but don't have the money to buy and rent them, and report them being lost. The amount of money you pay for their service, you don't get that same amount of service in return. It takes 3days to get your game and a week to send them back.

Better then a Blockbuster or Hollywood Video.
For the Amount of games you rent it is cheap

This company is a rip off. Period. I started 3 months ago and I got Batman as a teaser for being a new customer. Since that time I have yet to get another top three game from my list. I am going to cancel membership this month. I found out that it is much better for me to go to gamestop and buy a used game with my edge card. Then after I finish the game I simply return it for a full refund or another title. Effectively being a rental service for me. I strongly suggest that they get more shipping locations because some of us dont live anyware near one. I live on a friggen island and it took the gamefly people about a week and and a half. (11 days) I think that gamfly is good for the people who live near their shipping stations. but crap for everyone else. By coolieo from st. thomas VI

I am currently looking into filing a class action lawsuit against Gamefly.
A couple of years ago I was a member with them. Well I had rented three games from them. I returned 2 of them, which they said they never recieved and still had one more out, which I actually thought my wife had returned after she was done playing, which I found on my move to Alaska, that I returned to the company as well as a money order for $19.98 to cover the cost of the used games. They kept the money order and returned the game.
Well recently I checked my credit report as they are trying to charge me $187 for all three games. According to their website and commercials, keep as long as you like and return when you are done. There is no fine line as to the length of time.

We've found that in the past two months, it doesn't matter what you want, if you want it for the PS3, it will never happen. They have a system that tells you the likelihood a game will ship to you if you have an open slot, and it's amazing that "High Availability" means a greater than 75% chance of that game shipping. Right now I have 12 games on my queue with a "High Availability," and an open slot. 1 of at least 9 of those games should have shipped shipped today, because I understand math. Those games were all highly available yesterday too, yet again, no game was sent. They have had 18 opportunities to send us a game in 2 days, and haven't. I've been a customer for 2 years and I have yet to reccomend them to anyone. And I never will at this rate. By Drew from Lubbock

I have used this service 2 times. The first time it was pretty good. The second time around was not a good experience. If you ask me it is not worth the money, this based upon the ridiculously slow shipping times and a one in a million chance of getting a popular game in your queue. Very frustrating when you are waiting over a week for a game that is WAY DOWN in your queue. It's a total waste of money at this time. It would be well worth it if they would increase their inventory to meet the demand of their customers and added more shipping centers to get the game shipped in a reasonable amount of time. Slow shipping & no availability are the norm here. It's a good concept (renting games), yet poorly executed by gamefly. I'm under the impression since no business is doing this well- it just won't be a successful business model. At any rate, the temptation is great, and if you do succumb, you'll probably end up cancelling due to lack of availability with any recent title and incredibly slow ship speeds throughout the country. They could really do better. At this point, they should probably just be ashamed of themselves. If you are 7 or 8 and you want to rent the little comic games that nobody plays or cartoon movie knock-offs, you'll be fine. However, if you want to get your hands on popular titles, you'll either wait forever, or just not get anything. I had ten games in my Q and got nothing for three weeks at one point. That tells me they are collecting a lot of subscription fees and those fees are going somewhere other than the core business. By That's Aweful! from Dallas, TX
